As the Manager of Accounts Payable, you will lead the AP function and ensure high-quality service delivery across the organization. With a team primarily based in a shared service center in Costa Rica, you’ll oversee strategy, vendor payments, financial system integrity, and continuous process improvement. Acting as a key escalation point, you’ll collaborate with executive leadership, provide insights on technologies and metrics, and ensure compliance with company policies. Strong stakeholder relationships, accurate documentation, and performance monitoring through KPIs and reporting are essential to success in this role.

What You’ll Do

Drive process efficiency and cost-saving strategies through automation, continuous improvement, and industry best practices.

Manage AP functions across the Americas, including disbursements, vendor relations, tax matters, and general ledger accuracy.

Supervise the timely and precise handling of supplier invoices and adjustments, serving as the key contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure seamless collaboration across functions to support supplier setup, maintenance, and performance monitoring.

Hire, train, coach, and evaluate AP staff, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and operational excellence.

Oversee monthly financial close activities and ensure adherence to company policies, systems, and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Management.

10 or more years of experience in management, with progression in responsible positions and 5 or more years of experience managing a team of direct reports (in multiple geographies and a shared services global environment - Desired).

7 or more years of experience in Accounts Payable (within a large, complex, publicly listed organization).

What Will Set You Apart

Master’s in business administration or Master’s of Accountancy, CPA, CMA, or Certified Financial preferred.

Direct experience managing change with new Accounts Payable systems and/or processes.

SAP experience.

A proven ability to build strong business relationships (beyond the Finance team) and effectively manage the needs of multiple stakeholder groups.

Analytical and technical skills including financial modeling and forecasting working capital, financial statements, cost analysis, planning, MBOM, AOP, variance analysis, reporting, P&L.

Established business acumen, leadership skills, and building organizational capabilities.

Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems: Microsoft Office Products, (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
