Role Are you ready to lead a dedicated security team while actively protecting a dynamic facility environment? At Acquisition.com, we’re seeking an experienced and strategic Building Security Manager who will provide hands‑on leadership to our Building Security team. This is not a desk job—you’ll work security shifts alongside your team while developing their capabilities, establishing operational standards, and ensuring the safety of our facilities.

The Security Team’s primary goal is to ensure and enhance the safety and well‑being of the Founders of Acquisition.com, employees, guests, vendors, and VIPs while also safeguarding the integrity of the building itself.

As Building Security Manager, you will lead by example, actively working security shifts while simultaneously managing team operations, developing protocols, conducting training, and coordinating security requirements for company events. Building Security operations have significant downtime during shifts, which provides ample time to fulfill both active security responsibilities and managerial duties. You will be responsible for maintaining the physical security of both people and facilities at Acquisition.com Headquarters in Las Vegas, NV, while building and developing a high‑performing security team that meets the company’s standards for professionalism, physical readiness, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities Active Security Operations

Greet all visitors, guests, and vendors, implementing enhanced security protocols during major events including L1, L2, and L3 events, including baggage checks and use of metal detection devices

Work scheduled security shifts alongside team members, demonstrating proper protocols and professional standards

Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, ensuring prompt response to any irregularities

Secure all entry and exit points, granting access only to those on the designated list

Conduct regular patrols of the property, both inside and outside the building

Provide a vigilant security presence to ensure a safe and secure environment at headquarters

Respond to security incidents, medical emergencies, and facility issues, providing aid as needed and ensuring proper documentation

Maintain professional, courteous interactions with employees, guests, and vendors at all times

Manage collection of packages, deliveries, and mail, ensuring appropriate team members are notified

Maintain calm and professional demeanor when interacting with agitated or aggressive individuals

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, hire, train, and develop Building Security Specialists to build a high‑performing security team

Redefine the Building Security Specialist avatar and establish clear hiring criteria that reflect required physical fitness, professionalism, and operational capabilities

Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings with team members to provide coaching, feedback, and performance management

Implement and maintain comprehensive training programs including firearms qualification, first aid, CPR, de‑escalation techniques, and customer service excellence

Ensure all team members maintain required certifications and complete re‑qualification requirements every six months

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development within the security team

Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans aligned with company standards

Address performance issues decisively, including establishing and enforcing standards around professionalism, phone usage, physical fitness, and operational conduct

Operational Management

Create and manage security team schedules to ensure adequate coverage, adapting to changing business needs and major events

Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all security functions including access control, incident response, emergency procedures, and visitor management

Oversee daily security operations and ensure consistent execution of protocols across all shifts

Coordinate enhanced security requirements for company events with Events Team, Facilities Team, and Office Management

Maintain and manage security equipment inventory including firearms, metal detectors, first aid supplies, and communication devices

Accurately complete detailed incident reports and ensure team members document incidents properlyUtilize Google Suite and other tools for scheduling, documentation, communication, and reporting

Strategic Planning & Coordination

Conduct regular security assessments of facilities, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements

Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios

Collaborate with Director of Events & Venue Operations to anticipate security needs for company growth and events

Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services

Coordinate with Facilities Team on access control systems, CCTV infrastructure, and physical security measures

Support Executive Protection requirements as directed

A security team that embodies the physical readiness and professional conduct required for emergency response

Requirements Experience & Qualifications

Minimum five years of security experience with at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role

Proven track record of leading and developing high‑performing security teams

Experience in corporate security, facilities management, or equivalent environment preferred

Demonstrated ability to work security shifts while managing team operations and administrative responsibilities

Must be 21 years of age or older

Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation

High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Nevada CCW/LEOSA required

Valid Driver’s License

Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Additional security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies

Exceptional leadership and people management skills with ability to motivate, coach, and hold team members accountable

Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting, training, and cross‑functional collaboration

Proficiency with Google Suite, scheduling software, incident reporting systems, and security technology platforms

Excellent problem‑solving abilities and sound judgment in high‑pressure situations

High emotional intelligence with ability to de‑escalate conflicts and manage difficult interpersonal dynamics

Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information

Demonstrated ability to lead by example and set the standard for team performance

Physical & Other Requirements

Must live in Las Vegas, NV, or be willing to relocate

Own or willing to purchase a semiautomatic handgun and holster suitable for carrying while on duty

Ability to pass firearms qualification and re‑qualify every six months for the duration of employment

Ability to pass Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and maintain physical fitness standards for the duration of employment

Maintain high level of physical fitness to perform security duties effectively and set the standard for the team

Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and on‑call availability as needed

Ability to respond to facility during emergencies outside of standard working hours

Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods during security shifts

Compensation

$80,000 to $100,000 annual salary

Location

Las Vegas, Nevada (Onsite)

Schedule

Monday‑Friday 6am – 2pm or 2pm – 10pm with flexibility for event coverage and emergency response

Subject to change as the team grows

Compensation Range: $80K - $100K
