Job Description We are looking for part‑time (22.5 hours per week) Housekeeping Workers for our Manhattan campus. The shift is evening, 3 pm to 11 pm, and we need workers who are available to work
every weekend and holidays, as needed
and who can attend a 5‑day orientation.
Job Summary Under general supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager, you will clean and service building areas, move furniture, equipment and supplies, and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Job Duties
Clean, disinfect and sanitize all areas of the facility including corridors, common areas, lobby, offices, restrooms, stairwells, and elevators.
Collect, clean, re‑line receptacles and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection‑control plans.
Clean, disinfect and sanitize resident rooms and corridors, including high‑touch areas, furniture, beds, restrooms, hand rails, over‑bed tables, and commodes using proper techniques and chemicals.
Work with various cleaning chemicals and solutions.
Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return items to their correct placement.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items needed to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Remove and transport regulated medical waste in compliance with infection‑control and blood‑borne pathogen policies and procedures.
Ensure all assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary and attractive manner.
Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using chemicals and equipment.
Maintain infection‑control practices at all times.
Requirements
HS graduate or GED preferred.
Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
