to join the firm's
Private Equity/M&A practice
in
New York . This role involves advising private equity sponsors and portfolio companies on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and other strategic transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in private equity deal work and a commercial mindset, coupled with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Represent private equity sponsors in M&A transactions and related investment matters
Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, partnership agreements, and ancillary transaction documents
Manage deal execution from initial structuring through closing
Provide strategic legal advice to clients on complex transactional issues
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless transaction processes
Mentor and supervise junior associates involved in deal work
Qualifications
4+ years
of experience focused on private equity and M&A transactions
JD from an accredited law school ; LLM or foreign equivalent a plus
Admitted to the New York Bar
(or eligible for admission)
Strong academic credentials and analytical skills
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Proactive, resourceful, and committed to professional growth
