We’re looking for Auto Body Preppers with a
minimum of 3 years of professional automotive bodywork experience
to join us at Carvana, the fastest‑growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history.
Responsibilities
Perform bodywork on multiple panels, including heavy plastic welding, minor metal pulling, roof and rocker panel repair.
Handle large area, heavy bodywork, including Bondo repair.
The pay range for this position starts at $26 per hour based on experience.

Prepper Levels
Entry‑Level Prepper
(min 1 year experience): perform light bodywork, including sanding, buffing, bumpers removal and installation, single panel repair, Bondo repair, and minor plastic welding.
Mid‑Level Prepper
(min 3–5 years experience): perform bodywork on multiple panels, including heavy plastic welding, minor metal pulling, roof and rocker panel repair, stud welding, and large area heavy bodywork.
Experienced Prepper
(min 5 years experience): train other autobody technicians and perform extensive bodywork on multiple panels.
General Qualifications and Requirements
Must be able to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools, lifting up to 60 pounds independently.
Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license; some positions may require an MVR check.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment and under varying weather conditions.
Use of safety equipment such as face shields or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments.
