Pay Information $1,424 to $1,716 per week About the Position Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Tucson, Arizona. Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree in physical therapy Physical Therapy experience; new grads welcome to apply Other certifications or licenses may be required Summary
The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in settings such as hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Essential Work Functions
Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations accurately Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, OTs, and other health professionals Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques Maintain a safe treatment environment per infection control protocols Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions Perform other duties within scope of practice Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills English language proficiency Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills Physical ability to remain stationary, move, lift 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, and bend Professionalism and teamwork with diverse personnel Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and equipment use Mental resilience under pressure, ability to work independently and under supervision when needed Visual acuity and effective communication Benefits
