Position Overview
We are seeking a
Senior
Civil‑Site Project Manager
to lead one of Broward County’s largest and most high‑profile water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This in‑person role will oversee the civil design of two water treatment plant upgrades and a six‑mile pipeline project.
The Project Manager will oversee multidisciplinary teams (civil, landscape, structural, MEP), coordinate with major consulting partners, and ensure the timely delivery of high‑quality designs and project documentation. Beyond technical management, this position includes business development responsibilities, staff mentorship, and internal team leadership—ideal for a candidate seeking to grow into a senior management position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all phases of civil engineering project delivery, from planning to construction administration, for water/wastewater and site development projects. Manage a
$6 million fee project
(total client project value approximately $50 million). Oversee design for drainage, utilities, roadways, and digital terrain models (3D civil site modeling). Direct coordination with sub‑consultants, prime consultants, and agency representatives (Broward County Water & Wastewater, Corollo Engineers, CDM Smith, Chen Moore). Supervise and mentor a team of civil engineers and technical staff. Develop, monitor, and maintain project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Direct staff and sub‑consultants in stormwater modeling, digital terrain modeling, and site utilities. Conduct pre‑design, design, and permitting phases, review plans, calculations, and reports. Participate in client meetings, agency coordination, and permitting processes. Lead proposal development, client presentations, and business development efforts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in Civil Engineering or related field. 8+ years of professional civil engineering experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required if the candidate has strong project management experience. Expertise in
site design, stormwater management, utilities, and permitting. Direct experience with
water/wastewater
or
pipeline infrastructure
projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Project
(required). Familiarity with
StormWise (ICPR4)
or equivalent stormwater modeling software. Strong working knowledge of
Civil 3D, AutoCAD. Experience developing digital terrain models and 3D site plans. Direct background in
water/wastewater treatment, pipelines, or transportation projects. Must reside within
Broward County, Florida , or be willing to
relocate
(in‑person work required).
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work managing projects with
South Florida municipalities or government agencies
(Broward, Miami‑Dade, Palm Beach). Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on government‑funded projects. Base Salary:
$150,000–$190,000 USD (depending on experience). Health Insurance:
PPO plan, company covers 50%. Paid Time Off:
3 weeks PTO annually, plus 7–8 paid holidays. Retirement Plan:
