Location UT Physicians Women’s Center (TMC), 6410 Fannin Street, Suite 170, Houston, TX 77030

Position Key Accountabilities

Performs relevant patient assessments and physical examinations.

Coordinates, directs, and implements patient’s plan of care.

May make house calls, follow patient load through hospital and/or clinic episodes, or monitor in‑patients in specialized settings other than surgical or acute care.

Orders, conducts, and interprets pertinent laboratory and diagnostic studies and procedures.

Makes medical recommendations and/or referrals.

Formulates, implements, and evaluates an outcome‑based treatment plan.

Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient’s treatment plans and outcomes.

Facilitates patient education relating to medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.

Collaborates with patients, families, other clinicians, and referral services to assist in the patient’s recovery.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification / Skills

Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Nurse Practitioner (APRN‑NP) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required

Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required

Specialty certification determined by the department required

Minimum Education Masters in Nursing as NP or Masters in Nursing with completion of a post‑masters Nurse Practitioner Certification Program.

Minimum Experience None

Physical Requirements Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
