Summary
Come join our Nursing Team in providing direct nursing services to clients in adult substance-use treatment! Located in Harford County, Maryland, our Joppa Inpatient program provides treatment paths for both men and women for substance use disorders, methamphetamine and other stimulant use, co-occurring disorders and has a methadone maintenance program for opioid addiction. Under a passionate leadership team, Pyramid Healthcare in Harford offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare for psychiatry, addiction recovery, mental disorder treatment, etc. defined by supportive environments that offer patients the strength they need to overcome life's challenges and allow clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation to reclaim health and well-being.
Hourly Rate: $28 - $34/hour before differentials!
Schedule
DAYS 7:00am - 7:00pm, 3 days per week
OR
NIGHTS 7:00pm - 7:00am, 3 days per week
Job Responsibilities
* Properly instructs and guides chemical dependency technicians in client care responsibilities and assignments.
* Orientation of new employees to unit-specific policies and procedures, positive and offers constructive feedback and direction to students/interns on the unit.
* Conveys accurate information in a supportive and courteous manner to unit nursing and tech staff.
* Seeks out supervision and direction from the physician, completion of nursing assessments under the direction of the RN, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, medication administration, vitals, knowledge of detox protocols, assisting the medical doctor as needed, providing medical lectures.
* Reports any unusual occurrences to the nurse supervisor/program director promptly, ensures room assignments are appropriate to clients' needs, attends and actively participates in departmental staff meetings.
* Maintains medical equipment in proper working order; maintains confidentiality and proper boundaries.
* Team builder, ability to drive continuous improvement projects, confidentiality, multitasker, decisive, excellent problem-solving/trouble-shooting skills, teacher, cooperative within the team framework.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience
* Current LPN license in the state of practice.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
* Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP).
