Proactively provide solutions and approach adversity with a solution[1]focused mindset.* This role may be responsible for managing hybrid project teams consisting of Apex Contact Employees, Internal Apex employees, client employees and external vendors.* Lead client engagements focused on Databricks data solutions, including platform design, migration, optimization, and governance.* Advise clients on Databricks security practices, including IAM integrations, Unity Catalog implementation, and audit/lineage reporting.* Oversee solution delivery teams (engineers, analysts, data modelers), ensuring high-quality, on[1]time, and value-driven results.* Provide presales and solution-shaping support, including proposal development, client workshops, and strategic roadmaps.* Translate business requirements into scalable Databricks data solutions spanning ingestion, transformation, modeling, and analytics.* Partner with client executives and technical leaders to align Databricks adoption with enterprise data strategy and compliance standards.* Guide consultants and engineers, offering thought leadership, mentoring, and practice development within the Databricks discipline.* Identify opportunities for business growth and additional consulting services within accounts.* Maintain subject matter expertise across Databricks features and ecosystem (Lakehouse, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, data security, and automation).* 10+ years of professional services delivery with at least 5 years in implementing Databricks solutions, including platform modernization and security.* Expertise in PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake for designing and leading teams in implementing large[1]scale pipelines.* Experience architecting Medallion architectures and lakehouse solutions.* Practical experience with Delta Live Tables (DLT), Databricks Workflows, and Unity Catalog.* Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure automation.* Familiarity with structured and semi-structured data integration from APIs, cloud storage, and databases.* Strong knowledge of IAM integrations (i.e. Okta, AWS IAM), Unity Catalog governance, and secure data access patterns.* Practical background in SQL and Python, data engineering, pipeline orchestration, and analytics and AI/ML enablement.* Experience leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams and managing client-facing engagements.* Consulting background with presales, proposal development, and executive stakeholder engagement.* Strong communication, leadership, and executive presence with ability to influence both technical and business audiences.* Passion for innovation and building scalable, governed, and secure data solutions.* Proven success leading a business facing technical team in a Fortune 500 environment or with a consultancy; note – alternative leadership experience, aptitude, and skills may be acceptable.* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field required; Master’s Degree preferred (equivalent work experience and aptitude may be substituted).* Competitive Salary* Health, Dental and Vision Insurance* Health Savings Accounts (HSA) with Employer Contribution* Flexible Spending Accounts* Long and Short-Term Disability* Life Insurance* Voluntary Benefits* Employee Assistance Program* Paid Parental Leave* Wellness Incentives* Vacation and Holiday Pay* 401(k) Retirement Plan with Employer Match* Employee Stock Purchase* Training and Advancement Opportunities* Tuition Reimbursement* Birthdays Off* Philanthropic Opportunities* Referral Program* Partial Gym Membership Paid* Team Building Events* Discount Programs*Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
