Manager will call candidates directly Position Overview: The
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
performs respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures in accordance with established departmental and hospital guidelines. The role involves managing patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities in both critical and non-critical care areas. Responsibilities include therapeutic interventions, diagnostic testing, ventilator management, airway maintenance, patient education, and emergency response. Key Responsibilities: Perform therapeutic respiratory treatments and diagnostic evaluations using gases, aerosols, humidification, and environmental control systems. Administer cardiopulmonary medications as ordered. Provide ventilatory support and manage life support systems. Conduct airway clearance procedures, breathing exercises, and bronchopulmonary hygiene. Maintain natural and artificial airways. Educate patients on respiratory conditions and therapies. Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency response. Deliver care across all age groups—neonatal through geriatric. Perform duties in accordance with facility standards and complete additional tasks as assigned. Skills & Experience Requirements: Required: Minimum
1 year
of clinical experience in both general and critical care respiratory therapy. Strong ventilator management and emergency response skills. Preferred: 2+ years
of hospital-based respiratory care experience. Education Requirements: Required: Associate Degree from a
CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program . Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care. Licensure & Certifications: Required: State of Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

(only required for neonatal/pediatric departments) Preferred: Membership in
AARC

WSRC
