Lansing Building Products is seeking an Internal Recruiter to join our team! In this role, you’ll play a vital part in driving recruitment across more than 100 branch locations in 35 states. Recognized as a Great Place to Work, Lansing Building Products continues to grow and we are looking for a dedicated recruiting professional to help us attract and hire exceptional talent to support our continued success.
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to qualify openings, create requisitions, and maintain job openings
- Screen, interview, and select top candidates for final interviews with hiring managers
- Proactive sourcing for openings including conducting Boolean searches and cold‑calling passive candidates
- Oversee and manage candidate workflows in Applicant Tracking System (ATS) from beginning‑to‑end
- Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners including job boards, schools & universities, staffing agencies, and professional networking organizations
- Coordinate, schedule, and confirm interviews with hiring managers and candidates
- Gather, document, and manage interview feedback from hiring managers in a timely manner
- Some travel required (less than 10%) for branch visits, annual meetings, and other company events
- Other duties as assigned by the Recruiting Manager
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ professional recruiting experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
- Strong understanding of how to work effectively with Applicant Tracking Systems (Dayforce preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis in providing outstanding customer service
- Strong contracting and networking skills with the ability to build solid relationships
- Optimistic and enthusiastic contributor to company culture including being a positive influence on hiring managers, candidates, and Lansing associates throughout the business (including the Home Office)
- Desire and capability to understand how the entire Lansing Human Resources organization operates and how Recruiting can best contribute to its overall performance
- Ability to collaborate and assist multiple managers at one time with hiring needs
- Strong research and candidate generation skills
- Ability to give and receive direct, candid feedback
- Self‑motivated with demonstrated ability to perform in a results‑driven environment
- Corporate (in‑house) recruiting experience preferred
- Willing to travel as needed
