Foley Dental in Coon Rapids, MN is looking for a licensed Dental Assistant to join our team.
Overview As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work in an environment that encourages learning, team cohesion, and puts patients first. You’ll have access to state-of-the-art technology and a supportive team that focuses on providing the best patient care.
Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide appropriate education throughout treatment
Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to support quality care
Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act
Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping
Prepare treatment rooms with adherence to safety protocols following OSHA and CDC recommendations
Manage supply and inventory levels, and place/expedite orders as needed
Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow

$32-36/hour
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (every other)
Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Access to minimum PHI necessary for job duties; regular HIPAA training and data safeguards are required
A Minnesota dental assisting license is required
Preferred Experience 2-3 years of experience
Dentrix or other dental software experience
Dental assisting school certification
Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
Occasional virtual or in-person training sessions throughout the year
A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions, arranged during the pre-employment process; not applicable in FL & TN
