Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized CT imaging procedures. Key Responsibilities Execute clinical competence in CT:
Select accurate technical factors for each patient, demonstrate knowledge to provide appropriate care based on patient age, observe dose reduction concepts (Image Wisely/Image Gently), and administer contrast as per facility policy. Apply knowledge of CT principles:
Include anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, physics, patient positioning, and care. Comply with regulatory standards from Joint Commission, State, Federal, and organizational guidelines. Document patient care:
Record activities accurately in electronic health records systems. Maintain a safe work environment:
Manage supplies and inventory, report equipment or environmental issues, and follow quality control procedures with proper documentation. Participate in performance improvement:
Engage in initiatives to enhance workflows, patient experience, and quality. Contribute to training and education activities for students and staff. Qualifications Education:
Associate degree or Certificate in radiologic technology from an accredited program recognized by USDE or CHEA. Experience:
At least one year in CT. Licenses/Certifications:
ARRT registration in Radiography (R), Maryland Radiographer license, Basic Life Support certification. CT Registry preferred but not required.
