Wellth
Wellth is a fast-growing, growth-stage digital health company headquartered in Los Angeles. Our mission is to motivate people living with chronic conditions to make healthier choices, every single day.
We use behavioral economics, habit science and technology to motivate lasting behavior change in some of the highest need and most underserved populations in the US (Medicare and Medicaid), drastically changing their quality of life and health outcomes. We have demonstrated results with several large insurers and health systems (e.g. reducing hospitalizations by over 40%), and are now rapidly scaling. Our goal is to be the category leader in improving health outcomes for hard-to-engage populations. A key difference at Wellth compared to other digital health companies is that our users (Members) actually use Wellth every single day - think TikTok tier daily engagement (and data generation!).
But most importantly, our work quite literally saves lives by stabilizing chronic disease patients and preventing disease progression, hospitalization, and other bad outcomes. We are a mission-driven company where you work with incredible talent and see tangible differences directly from your impact and influence.
About the Role:
Join us as a Senior Health Informatics Data Analyst and show the power of healthcare data (claims, medications, labs, quality outcomes) to prove the life-changing impact of Wellth's innovative behavior change programs. You are a healthcare data subject matter expert, experienced in healthcare datasets and analyses, including health outcomes, ROI, and utilization reduction. Our data team will rely on your guidance for structuring client healthcare data to inform product and program design.
You are passionate about transforming healthcare data into compelling narratives and actionable insights. You will enhance our team's analytical capabilities and identify innovative ways to showcase our impactful work. This includes driving the development of analyses for the commercial team and creating external-facing materials (blog posts, webinars, white papers) highlighting our outcomes and opportunities. You will present analyses to clients during business reviews and collaborate with client data teams on how to best help their members.
Success in this role means advancing our understanding of healthcare data possibilities, conducting analyses that drive client growth, and partnering with engineering in data modeling as a healthcare data expert. This individual contributor role within our data team reports to the Director of Data Engineering and Analytics and requires close collaboration with data engineering, analytics engineering, and commercial teams.
Specifically, you will:
Conduct analyses to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and propose strategies that drive success and outcomes for Wellths members and payer and provider clients.
Be the face of our data expertise! Lead engaging client discussions, present transformative analyses, and provide compelling insights on quality metric performance, CMS measures, and ROI.
Develop and present complex reports, dashboards, visualizations and presentations to demonstrate Wellths value and support both new business and ongoing partnerships.
Partner with commercial and client success teams to provide feedback and identify new ways to leverage data insights to address client-specific challenges, enhancing the value of Wellths services.
Support the client data onboarding plan and execution including internal and external coordination and communication.
Develop and refine targeting algorithms to identify members most likely to benefit from Wellths interventions.
Provide strategic recommendations internally for new use cases, enhancements to existing analytics capabilities, and ways to optimize data usage to better serve clients.
Stay current on healthcare industry trends and analytics methodologies, continuously refining analytical methods to drive more meaningful insights.
You will work with:
Commercial, Client Success, and Marketing teams to support client engagements, provide data-driven insights, and ensure that Wellths platform delivers measurable value.
Product teams to provide data-driven feedback that informs product enhancements.
Data engineers, analytics engineers, and client data teams to gather data requirements and deliver bespoke data solutions aligned with client needs.
Senior leadership to influence and drive client acquisition and retention strategies through data storytelling and insights.
Client data teams to ensure seamless data integration to power our behavior change programs.

Experience optimizing SQL queries running on analytical databases such as Redshift and Snowflake.
Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Sisense, with a strong eye for visual storytelling

Strong communication skills to translate complex data into compelling, easy-to-understand narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to quality with experience developing repeatable, scalable processes.
Ability to provide strategic insights and proactively identify new ways to leverage data to meet client objectives and optimize quality measures.
You might be the candidate were looking for if you can:
Inspire confidence through your data-driven insights and guiding strategies that improve care and reduce costs.
Thrive in a client-facing role, driving discussions and building trusted partnerships through your ability to provide actionable, data-driven recommendations.
Take ownership of complex data projects and deliver results with minimal oversight
Operate as a subject matter expert and thought leader, bringing a strong, informed point of view to drive clarity and execution in ambiguous or complex problem areas.
Experience in exploring advanced data analysis techniques, including developing Python scripts for data manipulation and analysis, performing light data science tasks (e.g., statistical modeling, exploratory data analysis), and leveraging AI/ML tools for insights generation.
