Core Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable Cypress automation test scripts for web applications. Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios. Develop and maintain comprehensive automation test suites for regression, functional, and integration testing. Drive automation coverage and continuously improve test efficiency and reliability. Analyze test results, identify root causes, and log detailed defects with reproducible steps. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration of automated test suites using tools like Jenkins. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability, performance, and coverage. Work in an Agile development environment, attending sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Provide support for testing in various environments, including staging and production, and assist in troubleshooting live issues. Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and coding conventions for automated testing. Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in test automation and recommend improvements. Building up environments independently to test assigned work. Create accurate, thoughtful and comprehensive defect reports. Apply independence and creativity to problem solving across project assignments. Demonstrate expertise and add valuable input throughout the development lifecycle. Strive to deploy all products and updates on time. Maintain a high standard of work quality and encourage others to do the same. Help junior team members grow and develop their skills. Required Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in test automation with a strong focus on the Cypress framework. Solid understanding of testing principles, test strategies, and QA methodologies. Experience with REST API testing and tools like Postman or similar. Experience with Git, branching strategies, and version control best practices. Prior experience in CI/CD environments, integrating automation tests into pipelines (e.g., Jenkins). Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern web application behavior. Experience working with SQL, knowledge of database queries and NoSQL database. Exposure to performance testing or visual regression tools is a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced Agile environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document and explain technical issues. Demonstrated understanding of QA methodologies. Must have test experience on Linux and UNIX environments. Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java is an added advantage. Experience is testing SaaS based cloud applications hosted at Amazon AWS. Experience creating test strategies that ensure comprehensive, pragmatic, and scalable testing approaches. Experience designing and debugging tests that measure performance and functionality under scale and load. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences. Desired Experience

Bachelor's Or Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Bachelor of Computer Science Bachelor of Engineering (Information Technology) Masters of Computer Science Master of Engineering (Information Technology) OR Equivalent professional experience in QA Engineer (typically 4+ additional years of hands-on experience beyond the base requirement) Technical Toolkit
