Job Description
Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC. (AMS) is seeking a talented Electrical or Computer Engineer to join our diverse team in Huntsville, AL, to create innovative solutions for complex problems. AMS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions across areas such as air and missile defense technologies, command and control, radar systems, seekers, modeling & simulation, and prototype hardware development and testing.
Position Description
The engineer in this role will perform the following:
Develop radar models and simulation environments to match threat radar intelligence assessments, including waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking, and signal processing.
Write technical briefings, design documentation, and test plans to support software development efforts.
Model all aspects of radar sensors and functionality, including performance timeline, weapons envelope, clutter mitigation, EA/EP, etc. Conduct radar/weapons systems analysis such as probability of detection, waveform analysis, probability of intercept, and area of responsibility.
Develop algorithms for detection, waveform selection, signal processing, clutter and EA mitigation, adaptive beamforming, and target identification.
RF hardware responsibilities include transmitters, exciters, antennas, multi-channel and high-bandwidth receivers, SOTA processors, RF lab equipment development/integration, along with software development and testing.
Required Experience
Strong software development skills in object-oriented programming principles.
Proficient in C++.
Git experience preferred.
Experience working within Agile development processes preferred.
Ability to interact and present to customers, coworkers, and management regularly.
Preferred Skills/Abilities
Resident of Huntsville, AL, or willing to relocate.
Good interpersonal skills and desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university.
Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.
Travel Requirements
Up to 20% travel expected.
Physical Requirements
Setup and teardown for field tests.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Access and navigate organization facilities.
Security Requirements
Must be a US citizen.
Eligible for TOP SECRET/SSBI clearance or meet eligibility to obtain and maintain a Final TOP SECRET Clearance.
