The position reports to the Chief Research Officer and supports the broader
Unmanned Aerial Systems ( UAS ) Department
, which includes the National UAS Training and Certification Center. The span of control for the UAS Department includes the non-academic credit functions related to UAS and Advanced Air Mobility ( AAM ) within the college, with focuses including education and training, consulting, application development and commercialization, applied research and development, data analytics, and modeling and simulation.
The UAS Office often engages with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and clients or customers. This role may involve coordination with internal departments, including the Sinclair Grants Office, as needed depending on the opportunity. This position will also ensure that all activities and proposals receive the necessary review or approvals from UAS Department leadership and are submitted through the appropriate channels. Major tasks for this role include efforts related to engagement with clients and customers for opportunity identification, proposal generation and submission, and other revenue generating activities.
The potential minimum compensation for this position begins at $75,000.00 and is commensurate with education and experience.

Principal Accountabilities Search for an identify funding sources and solicitations that align with UAS department and college strategic goals Develop and facilitate submission of proposals and applications, in coordination with UAS department leadership and other internal and external stakeholders as appropriate Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Research Officer and UAS department leadership Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in related field required; master’s degree or doctorate degree in a related field preferred · Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field required; background in aviation with traditional aircraft, AAM , and UAS related experience preferred Current Remote Pilot Certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA ) is preferred U.S. Passport preferred Strong personnel management, team building, team interaction, and conflict resolution skills required Strong organizational and analytical skills required Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external customers and partners required Experience in using resources and tools to search for and identify solicitations and other opportunities from industry, academic, and government funders required Proven ability to develop and support submission of proposals resulting in funded awards required Strong PC skills, including standard office tools and industry specific software packages required Ability to use appropriate tools to manage sales and proposal generation and submission processes required Excellent oral and written communication and listening skills, including experience in preparing and delivering proposals, reports and presentations required Proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships required Supplemental Questions
