What we're looking for:

Metro's Speech Department continues to grow and we are looking for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist in Suffolk County. The caseload is primarily homecare at the moment, with potential to build up in many of our outpatient clinics located all across Long Island. Caseload demographics include: Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, School-Age, Voice, Cognitive Communication Disorders, AAC use, etc.

Position is part-time with benefits, and a requirement to see 20 patients per week.

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York TSSLD preferred but not required Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan. Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care. Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course)
