We are seeking a highly skilled
Virtualization Systems Engineer
to join the
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
team, focused on
Private Cloud
development and automation. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in virtualization technologies, particularly with
OpenShift ,
VMware , and
Red Hat Linux , and will play a key role in the team's transition from OpenStack to virtualized infrastructure using OpenShift. This role requires expertise in automation, large-scale deployments, and performance testing across compute, storage, and networking systems. Key Responsibilities: Implement
VM automation
using
OpenShift
in a large-scale, enterprise environment. Support the migration from
OpenStack to Virtual
infrastructure using OpenShift. Manage and deploy across
compute ,
networking , and
Ceph storage
environments. Perform
bare-metal provisioning
and
performance testing
of virtual machines. Collaborate with vendors such as
Broadcom
for optimized server/device integration. Automate deployment processes and infrastructure workflows using
Python scripting . Contribute to infrastructure efficiency, scalability, and resilience through advanced automation practices. Must-Have Skills & Experience:
Strong hands-on experience with
OpenShift
- specifically in
building, automating, and deploying
VMs at scale. Expertise in
VMware
virtualization technologies. Solid experience with
Kubernetes
and
Red Hat Linux
environments. Knowledge of
Ceph Storage
and storage performance tuning. Proficiency in
Python scripting
for infrastructure automation. Understanding of
compute, storage, networking , and
bare-metal provisioning
concepts. Nice to Have: Experience with
KVM ,
KubeVirt , and
Hyper-V . Familiarity with
S3 storage
solutions. Knowledge of
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
practices. Exposure to tools and platforms like
vSphere ,
ESXi ,
VCF ,
vRealize ,
Nutanix , and
NSX-T . Experience migrating from
OpenStack to Virtual Machines . Understanding of
Kubernetes (K8s)
networking and cluster management. Note:
This is a W2-only position. Onsite attendance in Jersey City, NJ (5 days per week)
is mandatory. Local or nearby candidates highly preferred.
