Job Summary

The David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah has an opening for a full-time Administrative Program Coordinator to support the Eccles School. We’re seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional who can lead planning efforts from concept to execution with calm confidence, has strong prioritization skills, and has a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.

A successful candidate for this position will be:

The ability to work independently and quickly learn new systems and processes is crucial. Experience in event planning and executive support is strongly preferred. Experience with university or campus administrative systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

·

Plan and execute complex events with multiple moving parts and tight deadlines

Prioritize tasks efficiently and adapt to changing circumstances

Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and logistics with excellence

Lead cross-functional tasks/projects with clarity and urgency

Assist with academic classes scheduling and curriculum updates

Support faculty hiring and review processes

Advise faculty, staff and students on department, college and university policies and procedures

Assist with projects and support as needed

Perform general office duties such as preparing correspondence, ordering supplies, and processing mail

Anticipate issues, solve problems quickly, and keep academic units/events running smoothly

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), plus one year of directly related experience

Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
