Data Concepts is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong documentation skills.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on IT development projects.
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven track record of successfully analyzing and documenting complex business processes.
Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
Experience in creating comprehensive and clear documentation.
Proficiency in modeling techniques, requirements gathering, and documentation.
Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit requirements.
Experience in translating business requirements into detailed system specifications.
Ability to create process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other relevant documentation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify areas for improvement.
Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and development teams.
Experience in assessing the impact of changes and facilitating change management processes.
Proficiency in business modeling and analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucid Chart, or similar.
Familiarity with collaboration tools and project management software.
Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders.
Experience in presenting analysis findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Additional Preferred Qualifications
12+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on IT development projects.
A master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
One or more certifications related to business analysis (CBAP, CCBA, etc...).
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
Reverse engineering Legacy COBOL /Visual Basic/ MS Access applications to extract business rules and workflows
Understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
Familiarity with project management concepts and practices.
