About the Role
The Company is on the lookout for a dynamic Vice President of Engineering and Applications to spearhead the technology strategy that propels our insurance platforms forward. In this vital role, you will lead a high-performing team dedicated to platform modernization, innovative multi-tenant solutions, and enhancing delivery processes. You will play a key part in driving our digital transformation initiatives, which include significant data conversions and cloud migrations. As VP, you will cultivate a culture of engineering excellence, hands-on leadership, and total accountability, while managing the financial aspects of the engineering and applications budget effectively. The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of progressive technology leadership experience with a strong focus in property and casualty (P&C) insurance, modern technologies, cloud, and SaaS solutions. You should possess deep expertise in platform modernization, digital transformation, and executing complex data conversions, coupled with a proven ability to manage costs and optimize engineering operations. A strong foundation in data security, privacy compliance, and regulatory frameworks is essential, alongside proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, microservices architecture, and modern modular system design. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred. Cloud certifications or Agile/Scrum certifications would be advantageous.
