The System Security Analyst will support the Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) Information System Security Officer (ISSO). The analyst will assist in developing an Information Systems Security Strategy to implement a defense-in-depth approach for OBO's on-premises and cloud IT infrastructure, focusing on operational security and cybersecurity services. Responsibilities
Assist the OBO ISSO in responding to and remediating classified spillage incidents. Develop and maintain procedures for reporting classified spillages. Manage the distribution, tracking, reporting, and auditing of the OBO classified hard drive program. Perform secure data transfers from removable media to the OpenNet/ClassNet network. Conduct end-of-day security checks in OBO/IRM suites and update safe/lock combinations for safes and computer rooms. Conduct security briefings for new OBO/IRM users, ensuring they are updated with the latest policies from the Department's Foreign Affairs Manuals (12 FAM 500 and 12 FAM 600). Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical teams. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or related fields; or four years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree. At least 5 years of progressive experience supporting technicians, analyzing, designing, and installing computer-based systems, LANs/WANs, and communication systems, with increasing responsibilities in technical management. Strong problem-solving and resolution skills. US citizenship. Must possess a Top Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GIAC are preferred. The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 annually. Pay and Benefits
