We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to support database administration tasks across various environments.
This role involves managing Oracle databases and data warehouses, providing application support, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
The position may be based in Westlake, TX or Merrimack, NH.
Key Responsibilities
Perform application database administration services including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, and physical data modeling.
Support development teams with database application design and engineering.
Install, configure, and manage multisite databases using Oracle GoldenGate replication.
Provide support for cloud database platforms in Linux environments.
Diagnose and resolve database-related issues efficiently.
Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Engage in 24x7 on-call rotation for production support, maintenance, and installations.
Collaborate with enterprise teams including Systems Administration, Cybersecurity, and Capacity Planning.
Establish and maintain database standards for operations, upgrades, migrations, and onboarding.
Optimize SQL performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control (OEM 12c).
Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts and PL/SQL monitoring jobs.
Drive database administration strategies and initiatives.
Maintain flexibility and a collaborative attitude in a team environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Strong skills in SQL performance tuning and optimization. Experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication. Proficiency in Linux shell scripting. Familiarity with cloud database platforms. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience supporting databases in Agile environments. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with other database platforms such as Sybase, SQL Server, Postgres, DB2, Snowflake, and Cassandra. Exposure to enterprise application integration and database design.
