Bartender Edgewater (Laughlin, NV)
Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures. Serves cocktail servers and guests. Delivers exceptional guest service as defined by the company. Ensure all product is stored properly at the end of each shift. Maintains correct inventory and logs inventory as needed. Works independently under the management of the beverage department. Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations and company policies and procedures. Essential functions and responsibilities include: providing requested beverage cocktail and/or recipe preparation and delivery cordially to guests and/or beverage servers, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of work area, bar tops, floors, and line equipment, receiving, issuing, and keeping necessary records of liquor and other bar supplies, refilling and stocking garnishes and glassware, following cash handling and Info Genesis POS procedures, following cash and comp procedures, providing outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members, and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements: At least one year of previous experience in a high-volume bar and qualification for a bartender position, excellent communication and guest service skills, ability to handle a cash bank, basic mathematical skills required to effectively tender guest checks, provide change and for cash bank accuracy, working knowledge of POS system, liquor/soda guns and mixology, must be at least 21 years of age, ability to abide by company policies procedures and/or state and federal laws and regulations in relation to health, safety, sanitation, and presence of minors in gaming areas, obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company, verify right to work in the United States, pallet jack and forklift experience preferred although can train. Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, or stooping (80% of the time), lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects weighing up to 75 lbs., vision, hearing, speech, and literacy (critical), must have the ability to read labels and identify products and/or uses. Work Environment Potential Conditions: Working in the outdoors which could lead to high heats and extreme weather conditions such as high winds and unshaded sun for extended periods of time, noisy, smoky, high volume work areas at a fast pace.
