Server Systems Administrator
Position Summary As a Server Systems Administrator within Epic's Hosting entity, you will ensure our systems operate optimally to support healthcare organizations using our software. Your responsibilities include developing tools for operating systems, troubleshooting, debugging, monitoring system health, creating disaster recovery plans, sharing expertise in systems and database administration, coordinating with hardware vendors, and working with large-scale systems. This role involves collaboration across various teams, including developers, technical support, software testers, and implementation specialists. You can focus on and develop skills in areas such as scripting, documentation, development, or technical support. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, MIS, or related field preferred Proven academic and professional success Knowledge of Linux or Windows system administration, virtualization, scripting, automation, or DevOps is a plus Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per year Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship Relocation to Madison, WI (reimbursed) Availability for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift COVID-19 vaccination required As part of the Hosting team, you'll be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting, including following policies, reporting security incidents, and meeting security responsibilities.
