Data Center Technician

Location: New Albany, OH Hours: Day Shift and Overnight Shift available Length: 6 month contract with potential extension or conversion For this position you will be tasked with maintaining the hardware infrastructure of the latest cloud computing server technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly and accurately resolve issues with server and network hardware through root cause analysis with a solid understanding of computers, servers, network devices and command line diagnostics. On an ordinary day: Arrive to data center, tech gets their tickets ready for the day for the first hour, then spends the duration of the day working in the data hall making repairs. Break fix work/Swapping hardware components Troubleshooting connections Email and personnel requests for technical support Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution Schedule maintenance Responding to customer outages and capacity issues Skills needed: Technical aptitude and the ability to communicate advanced technical information with a variety of individuals of varying technical knowledge Hands on hardware break/fix experience 1+ years of experience in the IT field Nice to have: CompTIA A+ certification Computer Science degree Apex benefits overview: Apex offers a range of supplemental benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans that offer an optional layer of financial protection.
