Project Engineering at V2X:

Project Engineering focuses on planning, managing, and executing engineering projects by combining technical expertise with project management skills throughout the project life cycle.

Role Overview:

Join a dynamic team driving innovation in tactical defense solutions! V2X seeks a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams within our Platform Systems Integration (PSI) program in Indianapolis, IN. You will own the technical execution of development projects, ensuring innovative solutions are delivered on schedule and within budget, while mentoring future leaders. Collaboration across Systems, Hardware, Software Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance teams is essential to ensure success at all development phases and to build strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical leadership and coordination for development projects. Support all phases of development, ensuring solutions meet requirements and cost targets. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technical deliverables. Create and maintain project plans tailored to specific needs. Develop budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and organizational charts. Lead Agile processes, creating backlogs, writing user stories, and managing tasks in tools like Azure DevOps. Present technical and program data to customers and leadership. Assist in proposal development, including engineering estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs). Mentor team members, fostering growth and development.

Required Skills:

Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate across all organization levels. Knowledge of Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, IV&V, and project lifecycle management. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency with project management tools like Microsoft Project. Ability to monitor and measure project performance. Willingness to obtain or maintain a US Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and Windows. Basic understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and documentation. Ability to synthesize technical and program data for decision-making.

Desired Skills:

Experience leading project teams through development cycles. Technical leadership in resolving complex challenges. Experience with Agile and traditional teams, backlog management in Azure DevOps. Proposal development experience, including BOE creation. Ability to thrive in dynamic, team-based environments. Operational understanding of requirements and risk mitigation. Proficiency with CAD tools like CREO. Knowledge of testing, IEEE 15288, and AS9100 standards. Customer-facing experience with effective communication and delivery. Familiarity with 15-2 compliant bids.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in STEM; MBA or Master's preferred. PMP certification is a plus.

Experience:

8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
