This position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and remote work. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with engineers and a senior designer to produce high and extra high voltage substation designs. Use SDS to prepare 3D models that generate drawings such as General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Sections, Electrical Connection Details, Foundation Plans, Grounding Plans, Grounding Details, Conduit and Trench Plans, Conduit Details, Control Building Layout, Control Building Details, Bills of Material, Cable Schedules, and a Shielding Plan. Utilize Inventor, AutoCAD, P4A, and SDS software. Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables. Conduct walkdowns at client substation facilities. Note:

Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in Drafting, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, or a high school diploma with 2+ years of 3D drafting coursework or equivalent experience. At least 8 years of experience in preparing 3D substation models and physical design. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, P4A, Vault Pro, and SDS for 3D design. Ability to visualize in 3D and layout substation equipment following client or IEEE standards. Ability to follow CAD standards. Valued Skills and Knowledge: Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Design. Knowledge of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models production techniques. Understanding of engineering science and technology, relating equipment to technical designs. Experience with BlueBeam for BOM counts and drawing reviews. Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.
