Your Role As a Gensler Architect, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful retail, financial services firm, and multi-site implementation projects. What You Will Do
Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative technical/constructible solutions.
Resolve complex technical/design issues and detailing.
Produce drawings, specifications, and handle construction administration tasks, with the ability to produce drawings and specifications.
Oversee and deliver documents with design intent and high technical quality.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
Maintain and oversee the project manual and specifications.
Manage client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.).
Manage communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews.
Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIs.
Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases.
Contribute to the financial performance of projects.
Ensure projects conform to contracts.
Lead teams for successful project delivery.
Manage client expectations, team communication, and oversight of consultant coordination.
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships through successful project delivery.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school.
5-10 years of related experience, including success in workplace projects.
Highly proficient in Revit.
Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and structures.
Ability to understand building construction and create technical documents.
Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process.
Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages.
Quick learner, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Collaborative and team-oriented.
Ability to handle difficult situations tactfully.
Ability to maintain and build client relationships through project delivery.
Demonstrated commitment to sustainability; portfolios should include projects with LEED, WELL, or similar certifications.
