Buro Happold has an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our hybrid team in New York City!
The Associate Mechanical Engineer will lead the design of mechanical systems and manage a team to deliver high-quality solutions. You will work closely with clients, architects, other Buro Happold Engineers, and/or design team members as part of a dedicated and skilled team. Duties include the production of coordinated detailed design drawings, specifications, written reports, site observation reports, schedules etc. on a variety of projects.

Your key duties
As a key part of the team, your responsibilities will be varied, but likely to include:
Lead the design and technical specifications of mechanical systems, ensuring quality output. Manage project resources, client relationships, and deliver high-quality solutions. Guide graduates and other junior engineers through their professional development. Communicate directly with clients and maintain client relationships. Actively contribute ideas and innovative solutions across various projects. Ensure practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s best interests and comply with current legislation and building codes.
Your Skills And Experience
8+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and HVAC. Demonstrated experience in a senior role within MEP for an architectural engineering consultancy. BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree. P.E., professional engineer. LEED AP accredited preferred. Experience using Revit and computational analysis tools. Ideal sector experience in Aviation/Transportation, Cultural Projects, Labs, Commercial, and Higher Education.
What we offer
Salary range of $105,000 to $150,000.
