Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Electrical Engineer Project Leader
to drive the design, development, and commissioning of advanced packaging systems. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, mentoring team members and collaborating across departments to ensure the successful deployment of high-performance packaging equipment. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in PLC/HMI programming, electrical design, and customer-focused problem-solving.
Responsibilities
Design and layout electrical systems, including schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs. Lead projects, coordinating electrical assembly operations and ensuring quality standards. Develop and program PLCs, HMIs, motion control systems, and communication protocols. Conduct machine testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning at customer sites. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and integrate feedback. Maintain accurate electrical documentation and produce detailed project reports. Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence. Qualifications
10+ years of PLC/HMI programming experience (Allen Bradley and Siemens preferred). Proficiency in Eplan, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of packaging machinery, motion control, and electrical design. Familiarity with networking hardware, communication protocols, and programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python). Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. Preferred Skills
Experience designing and troubleshooting packaging equipment. Knowledge of trade show participation as a technical resource.
