is seeking a skilled Controls & Automation Engineer in
Mableton, GA
to lead engineering efforts that improve equipment reliability, drive process improvements, and support facility safety and compliance. You’ll play a hands-on role in designing, programming, and optimizing complex control systems within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Program PLCs (Rockwell/Siemens), HMIs, VFDs, and SCADA systems; develop machine safety systems and troubleshoot equipment. Conduct root cause analysis, interpret production data, and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Oversee automation and equipment upgrade projects from concept through implementation, managing schedules and budgets. Design mechanical components, analyze prototypes, and support CAD drafting efforts for custom machinery and system enhancements. Identify and mitigate safety risks, implement safety systems, and support compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required Bachelors in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering 4+ years of PLC design/programming (Rockwell/Siemens), VFDs, and motion control Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP)
Preferred Master’s degree 8–10 years in automation systems Six Sigma or Functional Safety Certification (FSCP)

Additional Info Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (some on-call and travel required) Supervision: Direct oversight of 1–2 employees, with indirect leadership of 7–9 technicians
Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000+
