Job Description: Software Application Developer
Torch Technologies is seeking an intermediate level software application developer to support the development and validation of tools used to evaluate system performance and interoperability of US Space Force (USSF) emerging capabilities. Testing will be conducted on operational, fielded systems and in laboratories with operationally representative hardware and software. Testing spans the entire space enterprise, including ground, on-orbit, link, and command and control/battle management systems. The candidate will interface with analysts, translating analytical requirements into code to produce desired outputs. Responsibilities include shaping tool development based on analytical needs, prioritizing activities, maintaining, and reporting on tool development status. All tools will be verified and validated with analysts before integration into the analytical toolkit. Collaboration with external organizations will be essential in defining and designing the data analysis environment. Qualifications include a demonstrated ability to assess complex data sets with analysis software tools, and experience in developing software applications using languages such as Python, Anaconda, Java, or MATLAB. Operational or testing experience with command-and-control systems, sensors, or related hardware is preferred. Essential skills include self-initiative, leadership, excellent communication, teamwork, and multi-tasking capabilities. The candidate must possess a current Top Secret security clearance and be eligible for a Special Compartmented Information clearance. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO, with some travel expected. Minimum Requirements
Experience in software application development using Python, Anaconda, Java, or MATLAB. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets. Experience with command-and-control systems or sensors is a plus.
