Atlanta, GA (Mainly remote but some meetings) $125-130K + 20% bonus (avg payout 150% past 25 years), pension, 401K match, etc. Direct Hire or contract to hire - client open to either The Vendor Management Sr. Analyst serves as a consultant to the Technology Organization (TO) regarding the management of Vendors for software license renewals and large enterprise agreements. The role will be responsible to oversee software license renewals, cost consolidation, and cost avoidance across a portfolio of 500+ software renewals annually. This role requires expertise in vendor discussions, contract management, multi-year licensing strategies (co-term, consolidation), and collaboration with internal stakeholders to optimize software investments and drive business value. Key Responsibilities:

Software License Management & Renewals Oversee hundreds of renewals across multiple portfolios covering multiple software vendors and enterprise agreements ensuring timely execution and cost-effective strategies. Evaluate and recommend consolidation opportunities across vendors to streamline renewals and reduce redundancy. Partner with internal stakeholders to assess business needs, software utilization, sizing, SKU, and future requirements before renewals. Proactively identify cost-avoidance opportunities, including working with Supply Chain (SCM) on pricing, discounts, and multi-year agreements. Support negotiations with SCM and software vendors to secure competitive pricing, value-added services, and favorable contract terms. Work closely with SCM, finance, and legal teams to ensure compliance with contract policies and governance. Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors (Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, Broadcom and others) to drive long-term value and Enterprise agreements that support the broader organization needs. Business Consulting & Stakeholder Collaboration Act as a trusted advisor to business units, providing insights on licensing models, contract structures, and cost implications. Consult with stakeholders on renewal vs. replacement decisions, license right sizing, and alternative software solutions. Communicate complex licensing and contractual details in an understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders. Process Improvement & Reporting Develop and implement best practices for software asset and vendor management, ensuring efficiency and scalability. Track and report on renewal timelines, cost savings, contract changes, and software utilization trends. Maintain a centralized renewals repository and renewal calendar to ensure visibility and proactive management of upcoming renewals. Qualifications & Skills:

Required: 10+ years of experience in vendor management, software licensing, procurement, or IT asset management. Strong experience in software license negotiations, renewal management, and cost optimization. Deep understanding of software contracts, licensing models (e.g., SaaS, on-prem, subscription, perpetual), and procurement processes. Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to analyze spend data, identify savings opportunities, and drive process improvements. Proficiency in vendor management tools, contract management systems, and procurement software. Experience managing renewals across a large and diverse software portfolio. Knowledge of IT asset management (ITAM) frameworks and SaaS cost optimization strategies. Familiarity with software licensing terms from major vendors (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Broadcom etc). Experience working in large enterprises or global organizations. The compensation range for this position is $40 to $60/hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). *Note: Disclosure as required by the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (CO), NYC Pay Transparency Law, and sb5761 (WA).
