Senior Project Architect

Osborn Engineering . OSPORTS, a division of The Osborn Engineering Company, has a rich heritage of sports, entertainment planning, and design dating back to 1909, when the firm designed League Park, the first home of Cleveland's major league baseball team. Since then, we have designed and engineered numerous sports architecture icons including Yankee Stadium (1923), Fenway Park, Municipal Stadium, and Ohio Stadium. Today, our Sports practice focuses on designing athletic facilities and entertainment venues. We are seeking candidates with experience in high-profile and unique architectural projects in Sports Architecture, Entertainment, and Public Assembly to join our Columbus team. The Project Architect will engage in planning, programming, design & visualization, and lead technical development and documentation of projects. Primary Responsibilities
Documentation and delivery of architectural projects from conception through construction. Research code requirements and ensure design feasibility. Manage project budgets, work plans, consultants, and schedules. Coordinate with Project Managers and team members on key deliverables. Develop design solutions that meet client needs. Prepare Project Manuals and Specifications. Maintain collaborative relationships within the project team. Act as a liaison between clients and the architectural team. Ensure project documentation complies with company standards. Coordinate team efforts to complete projects on time and within budget. Oversee construction administration tasks such as processing submittals and RFIs. Provide office leadership, including staff development and mentoring. Review work and communicate needs to project staff. Define staff requirements for projects as needed. Travel and overtime may be required. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture. 6+ years of project architect experience in Sports or related fields. Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning, and construction. Registered Architect with an active license; NCARB certification is a plus. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam; Microsoft Project and Photoshop are preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Additional Characteristics
