Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
Designing, developing, testing, and deploying infrastructure software and services for Linux-based HPC systems
Automating processes and workflows using
Bash
and
Python
Writing scalable and maintainable backend software in
Python ,
Rust , or similar
Creating and managing
containerized applications
using
Docker ,
PodMan , or
containerd
Leveraging
Ansible
to orchestrate deployments across distributed environments
Troubleshooting and resolving software and system issues in live production systems
Applying
CI/CD best practices
using tools like
GitLab CI
and
Jenkins
Collaborating with cross-functional teams using
Git
for version control and code review
Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
Recommending and integrating modern tools and practices to improve system performance and maintainability
Minimum Qualifications
Clearance:
TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Citizenship:
Must be a U.S.
Education & Experience:
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field + 5 years of relevant software engineering experience
OR Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of relevant experience
OR 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Required Skills
Proficiency using the
Linux command line interface (CLI)
Strong scripting skills in
Bash
and
Python
for task automation
Backend development experience in
Python ,
Rust , or comparable
Experience with
containerization tools
such as
Docker ,
PodMan , or
containerd
Hands-on experience using
Ansible
for deployment automation
Ability to troubleshoot and debug software in operational environments
Familiarity with
CI/CD tools
like
GitLab CI ,
Jenkins , and associated pipelines
Proficient in
source control
using
Git
Desired Qualifications
Experience with
Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM)
tools such as
Netbox
Familiarity with
Splunk
or other observability and logging platforms
Understanding of
and Access Management (IAM)
tools like
Keycloak
Experience using
HashiCorp Vault
or similar secret management platforms
Proficiency with
Atlassian tools
such as
JIRA
and
Confluence
Exposure to
Agile, Scrum , or
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
methodologies
Compensation Range: $179,000.00 - $237,000.00 *The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
