Our Northeast Water business is growing! We are looking for a

Project Engineer

to join our team in

Syracuse, NY . In this role, you'll be an integral member of our multi-disciplinary project team working on water, wastewater, utility, and infrastructure design projects throughout the region. This will include the preparation of technical reports, design drawings, contract documents, cost estimates and permits.

Responsibilities

Contract Management: Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan.

Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.

Engineering Standards Specification: Support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and evaluate their effectiveness.

Knowledge Management System: Support others in utilizing knowledge management systems effectively.

Engineering Inspections: Conduct inspections under supervision to evaluate quality and integrity of engineering works and make recommendations for remedial actions.

Process Design Engineering: Assist in analyzing information and specifying methods and equipment for process improvement.

Client & Customer Management: Assist senior colleagues in managing client relationships using relevant systems.

Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data independently using preset tools and formats.

Monitor Construction Works: Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, cost, and schedule adherence.

Engineering Drawings: Prepare engineering drawings to facilitate communication and implementation.

Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to designing engineering solutions and supervising testing.

Personal Capability Building: Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and maintain professional accreditation.

Technical Developments Recommendation: Research and suggest technical improvements for infrastructure and software.

Product and Solution Development: Define and deliver customer-centric products and services.

Project Management: Contribute to project planning and execution within established plans.

Research: Conduct research activities to support project and organizational goals.

Testing: Design and execute testing procedures based on specifications.

Technical Troubleshooting: Support troubleshooting efforts for technical issues with equipment and experiments.

What you will bring to the team:

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

EIT certification

At least 3-5 years of municipal water experience, including experience in New York; prior water and wastewater infrastructure design experience with local municipalities is a plus

Salary range: $72,300 - $120,500 based on experience
