Design and deliver in-person and online instruction sessions and workshops Provide research consultations and citation assistance Create and maintain point-of-need materials, training videos, and online research guides Consult with faculty for in-depth literature reviews, systematic reviews, and other research activities Participate in collection development activities and coordinated initiatives to improve access to library resources and services Assess and coordinate campus online and in-person reference activities Participate in campus and university committees, services and activities as requested including as an ex-officio member of the College of Medicine's curriculum committee Assist with service desk coverage Plan for and facilitate growth in the library's collections and services through the early years of the school Plan for and facilitate growth in the library's staff Salary and Rank : This is a Continuing Appointment track Academic Professional position; Associate/Full Librarian rank and salary dependent upon experience.

Required qualifications: Master's in Library Science (MLS) or equivalent from an American Library Association (ALA)-accredited program. Record of accomplishment sufficient to achieve continuing appointment in the ASU Library at the rank of Associate or Full Librarian. Desirable qualifications: Five years experience in an academic medical library. An additional degree or coursework in health sciences, medicine, public health, or biomedical engineering. Experience in a library supporting medical education, clinical settings or evidence-based health practice. Proven ability to work with inclusive academic units, such as medicine, engineering, nursing, and health solutions. Experience in collaborative projects or initiatives that integrate medicine health sciences with technology or engineering. Demonstrated success in designing and delivering instruction tailored to medical and interdisciplinary audiences. Experience in spearheading collection development and managing library resources in a dynamic, evolving academic environment. Familiarity with health science databases (e.g., PubMed, MEDLINE). History of publication in scholarly, peer-reviewed journals. Experience with research data management, including the curation and integration of interdisciplinary resources. A record of providing advanced support for systematic reviews, literature searches, and in-depth research consultations. Knowledge of emerging trends in scholarly communication, open access publishing, and digital preservation within the health sciences.
