Are you a seasoned mainframe developer with a passion for innovation and over a decade of hands-on experience? We're looking for a motivated and forward-thinking professional to join our development team, bringing deep expertise in CICS (including MAP creation), COBOL, JCL, ICEMAN, IDCAMS, EZTrieve, and Expeditor. If you thrive in collaborative environments-participating in code reviews, unit testing, and system configuration-and have solid DB2 experience, we'd love to meet you. Familiarity with ISPW, Control-M, and provider systems is a plus, especially if you understand how legacy systems integrate with modern technology. WORKSITE: 100% Remote Any City New Jersey WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours PAY RATE: $45.00-$48.00 Per Hour WHAT YOU'LL DO: Design and develop mainframe solutions using COBOL, CICS (including MAP creation), JCL, and related tools Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and maintainability across the team Prepare and execute unit tests, validating functionality and performance of your code Perform unit-level design and contribute to system configuration for end-user or enterprise applications Integrate mainframe systems with modern technologies, helping bridge legacy platforms with contemporary solutions Apply company and third-party technologies to solve moderately complex software challenges Collaborate closely with peers and stakeholders to support provider systems and processing workflows Bring innovation and motivation to every project, contributing ideas and improvements that drive progress WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 10+ years of hands-on mainframe experience, including COBOL, CICS (with MAP creation), JCL, ICEMAN, IDCAMS, EZTrieve, and Expeditor Solid experience with DB2 and a strong understanding of database interactions in a mainframe environment Familiarity with ISPW and Control-M is a plus A working knowledge of provider systems and related processing workflows Practical experience in unit design, system configuration, and enterprise-level development A collaborative mindset with a willingness to participate in code reviews and team-based development A motivated, innovative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement An understanding of how mainframe systems integrate with modern technologies and architectures
