Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to a diverse adult patient population with a variety of heart rhythm conditions, including arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, and heart failure. Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (ECG, Holter monitor, echocardiogram), and develop effective treatment plans. Perform minimally invasive electrophysiology procedures (EP studies, ablations) to diagnose and treat arrhythmias, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate with referring physicians, cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care. Round on inpatients regularly, monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed. Document medical records accurately and efficiently within the Cerner and Athena electronic medical record systems. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cardiac electrophysiology and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted North Carolina (NC) medical license is mandatory. Board certification in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology is preferred, but applications from physicians eligible for board certification in Internal Medicine will be considered. Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical cardiac electrophysiology setting is preferred. Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in cardiac electrophysiology. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment. Two Coverage Options: Local Candidate: If you are a local physician, we offer a flexible scheduling option with 3-4 weeks of coverage, guaranteeing 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Non-Local Candidate: We welcome applications from qualified candidates outside the immediate area. This initial coverage will focus on outpatient duties for 2 weeks, with a full 40-hour workweek.
