As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the Data Center Operations department supporting the Inventory & Asset Logistics team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1 Location: Onsite - Sandston, VA 23150 Pay Range: $20/hr. - $24/hr. (W2) Day Shift B: 10-hrs (Thu-Sat) & (Wed-Sat)
Top 3 Required Skills for the Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1 role: Inventory Management & Logistics Operations - 2+ years of hands-on experience in warehouse, supply chain, or IT inventory environments, including shipping/receiving, PO processing, staging, and physical tracking of assets. Data Center Experience - Prior experience working in a data center environment, with knowledge of compliance protocols, equipment handling, and destruction of data-bearing devices (DBDs). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools - Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word for documentation, communication, and inventory tracking.
What's the Job?
Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries, including PO receiving and RMS-related tasks. Perform accurate physical inventory tracking, cycle audits, and staging. Handle shipping/receiving logistics and data-bearing device (DBD) destruction per compliance protocols. Support regulatory audits and certification control activities in the data center. Use Microsoft Office tools to document, report, and track inventory movement.
What's Needed?
High School Diploma AND 2+ years of experience in warehouse, supply chain, or IT inventory environments. Prior hands-on experience working in a data center environment. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and escalate issues when necessary.
