As the Onsite Services Specialist, you will provide technical assistance for the preventive and/or corrective maintenance of the LM-family of aero-derivative marine gas turbine engines during ship construction, commissioning, and through to delivery. This position will be based in Pascagoula, Mississippi (onsite at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard) and CANNOT be worked remotely. This role is based onsite at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi. At this location, you'll be part of a team dedicated to supporting the LM-family of aero-derivative marine gas turbine engines during ship construction, commissioning, and delivery. As a GE Marine Technical Support Specialist/Field Service Representative, you will provide technical assistance for the preventive and corrective maintenance of GE products. This role is onsite and cannot be worked remotely. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful operation, maintenance, and delivery of marine gas turbine engines, contributing to GE Aerospace's mission of delivering high-quality solutions to our customers. Key responsibilities include: Providing technical direction and assistance to customers in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of GE products. Offering on-site interpretation of data and technical instructions. Communicating program status, customer issues, and trends to Project and Field Service management through regular reports. Training and guiding customers in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment. Assisting customers in scheduling maintenance and workload to meet established schedules. Analyzing reported malfunctions, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement. Reviewing maintenance actions to identify training needs and ensure effectiveness. Traveling internationally (greater than 50%) as required. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a background in naval or ship construction. They thrive in a fast-paced environment and are capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Required qualifications include: High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience with aero-derivative marine gas turbine engines. U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. Willing and able to travel internationally, often independently. Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proven analytical and quality improvement ability. Naval or ship construction background. Ability to read and understand electrical and controls schematics. Additional information includes: Relocation assistance is provided. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
