JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer CPQ, DACH (Central Europe) (M/W/D) to join our growing team. The role involves the maintenance and development of the CPQ software for JELD-WEN in the DACH region. This software enables product configuration, pricing, quotation creation, and ordering of complex building components in the door/frame area, which are manufactured and distributed by JELD-WEN. Your main responsibilities include the technical leadership of the software development process, managing a small team of currently two members, and working with internal stakeholders and external service providers. You will also evaluate IT technical requirements and risks and contribute to the technical design and implementation. You will report to the IT Transformation Director Central Europe. The position is primarily remote, but travel to JELD-WEN locations in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) may be necessary. Hybrid work can be arranged depending on the candidate's location. A residence in southern Germany / Nuremberg area would be optimal due to the locations of JELD-WEN sites. Your tasks include: Ensuring the maintenance and development of the CPQ software based on Camos and MoveIT technologies in collaboration with external implementation partners Working with the product owner and other internal stakeholders to assess the feasibility, dependencies, and costs of IT requirements Creating technical concepts and contributing to the system architecture, including working on necessary integrations with third-party systems Hands-on involvement in the implementation of IT requirements for the CPQ software and related tools and applications Supporting project management with technical know-how and your communication skills Managing a small team of currently two members Experience and background: You have several years of experience in software development. You have a strong technical understanding of IT processes and tools, for example, from previous roles as a software developer, software architect, or IT analyst. You have exceptional communication skills that allow you to bring together management and business stakeholders with IT colleagues to develop solutions collaboratively. You have a positive mindset and enjoy both interacting with people and IT technical tasks. Ideally, you have experience working with lean/agile techniques (e.g., SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe). Technical skills and qualifications: Required Completed studies or training in the IT field At least 5 years of professional experience in software development with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#, Java) or as a full-stack developer Desired Experience in software architecture and/or process analysis Experience with product configuration systems (CPQ software) or experience with product configurators in other contexts (webshops, ERP systems, etc.) Experience with the CPQ technologies Camos and MoveIT used by JELD-WEN would be ideal, but it is not a prerequisite. Knowledge of databases and SQL Knowledge or certifications in the area of agile software development (SCRUM, SAFe) Languages Fluent German language skills in speech and writing Very good English language skills in speech and writing About JELD-WEN Holding, Inc.
