Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading and precision measuring instruments to ensure high-quality production standards. The Press Brake Operator will work closely with other team members to maintain efficiency and uphold safety protocols in the workplace.
Duties
Operate press brake machines to fabricate metal parts as per engineering specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the necessary operations. Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Conduct quality inspections of finished products, identifying any defects or inconsistencies. Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines and troubleshoot any operational issues. Use hand tools and tooling effectively for setup and adjustments during production runs. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a safe working environment. Assist in the operation of additional machinery, such as forklifts, plasma cutting equipment, lathes, or electrical discharge machining when necessary. Qualifications
Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of quality inspection processes and techniques. Familiarity with operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is preferred. Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications. Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ability to work with hand tools and tooling effectively for various fabrication tasks. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A proactive approach towards safety practices in the workplace. Bilingual a plus.
