The role is also eligible for team-based bonus opportunities. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program. Brookdale supports associates in their journey to U.S. citizenship by offering to advance fees for naturalization (Form N-400) application costs, up to $725, for qualified associates who have been with us for at least a year. You will oversee the implementation of the resident and family engagement dementia care program, providing coaching and leadership to associates who are caregivers within the community. This includes ensuring Care Associates deliver person-centered programming, dining, and care. Collaborate with the leadership team to provide dementia training, manage the preadmission/move-in/move-out processes, oversee hiring, and educate associates regarding dementia care, including leading programs and interventions for behavioral expressions. You will plan and coordinate a calendar of dementia-friendly programs tailored to the needs of residents. A Bachelor's Degree in gerontology, therapeutic recreation, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of management and direct supervision experience, is preferred. Experience with residents with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias in a residential setting is required.
