Overview
Sign out medical kidney biopsies and General Surgical Pathology as per monthly faculty schedule. Frozen section coverage as per the monthly faculty schedule. Co-scoping with resident and medical student during sign-out. Perform/supervise and sign out adult autopsies on a rotation basis. Evening, weekend and holiday calls on a rotation basis. Teach medical students/residents (didactic and unknown conference sessions). Provide renal pathology consultation and present renal pathology at conferences. Scholarly activities and research is highly encouraged. Required Qualifications
MD/DO or equivalent with AP/CP training and American Board of Pathology Board Certification or board eligible. Subspecialty fellowship training and/or experience in medical renal pathology. GA State Licensure required. Credentialed to practice at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center. Assistant Professor - Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training. Associate Professor - Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. Professor - Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience. Shift/Salary/Benefits
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time.
