USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments. SCITLS Power BI Software Developer
will be an essential component in ensuring the effective design of vital systems and architecting the success of the SCITLS mission. This is an
ONSITE day shift
position at Offutt AFB, Sarpy County, Nebraska.
On call work may be required. HOW A SCITLS POWER BI SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Performs software development for Power Platform, Power BI, and Power Automate. Develops dashboards for AI Ops solution and Service Desk. Structures and transforms raw data into a format suitable for analysis within Power BI, often using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) functions. Supports dashboard developers in designing visually appealing and interactive dashboards that allow users to filter, drill down, and explore data insights. Supports report developers in building detailed reports with appropriate visualizations (charts, graphs, tables) to communicate key metrics and trends. Optimizes queries and data refreshes.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science and 5+ years of experience or equivalent years of experience Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate Must possess or be able to obtain within 9 months of start the ITIL 4: IT Service Management (ITSM) Certification Must possess or be able to obtain within 30 days of start one of the following certifications: CompTia Cloud+ -or- GIAC GICSP -or- GSEC -or- SSCP Must possess Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility US Citizenship Required Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs Proficiency in Power Query (M Language) for data transformation and shaping Knowledge of data source connectivity, including on-prem and cloud-based sources (SQL Server, SharePoint, Azure, etc) Experience setting up and enforcing data governance, naming conventions, and workspace policies. Experience supporting Power BI users, including troubleshooting, onboarding, and training. Ability to collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders. Excellent communication skills for translating technical issues into clear, actionable guidance. Understanding of ETL Processes, data pipelines, and data integrity best practices Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to provide subject-matter expertise to other administrators

Deep expertise in Power BI Service Administration Strong knowledge of Power BI tenant settings, workspaces, gateways, and dataflows Familiarity with Power BI REST APIs, PowerShell scripts, and admin APIs for automation and governance. Ability to manage Power BI licensing, security groups, and user access provisioning Integration of Power Automate with Power BI (alert-triggered workflows, dataset refresh automation) Proficient in building Power Automate flows for process automation ITIL 4 Foundations Microsoft Certified Power Platform Developer Associate Azure Developer Associate Power Platform App Maker Associate Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate ServiceNow Certified Application Developer Tableau Desktop Specialist Tableau Certified Data Analyst

The likely salary range for this position is $91,800 - $124,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
