POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Process Improvement Engineer (PIE) develops mastery and understanding of the processes they are assigned to and uses that mastery to deliver improved efficiency, quality, yield, and throughput and eliminate waste and utility inefficiency. This includes understanding the physics and chemistry of how the production systems are designed to function, their limitations, and the impact of variation on throughput, reliability, yield/breakage, and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
PIE(s) are qualified in the following areas and are expected to use them to produce results. Planned and unplanned downtime, rate, yield, and quality loss data collection methodology, analysis, interpretation, and opportunity analysis. Loss analysis & efficiency improvement plan development, plan execution leadership, and results tracking. Quality improvement process and quality validation. Rapid Changeover activities include principles, target setting, and leading successful efforts to reduce changeover time to achieve challenging objectives. Analytical Troubleshooting & problem-solving Process Definition & Capability Studies Lean Six Sigma approach to problem-solving. Lead "Green Team" initiatives and reduce Utility waste. Provide support to the plant Maintenance and Operations team and be actively engaged in the development and implementation of Autonomous Maintenance systems. Understand the fundamental tools & methodologies of the following Plant pillars - Focused Improvement, Early Management, Preventative/Predictive Maintenance, and Autonomous Maintenance. Lean Six Sigma (LSS). Early Equipment Management tools, methodologies, procedures & applications. Project Management Processes. Package material evaluation/qualification process. CQV process - Commissioning, Qualification, Verification. OSHA, MSDS, GMP requirements, clean design. Occasional off shift and weekend coverage required

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree, preferably a B.S. in Science, Engineering, or Maintenance Technologies, or comparable work experience (at least 3+ years) in a high-speed Manufacturing environment. 2+ years' work experience in a manufacturing supervisory position with frontline employees required. Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred. Strong employee relations, interpersonal, team building, and verbal/written communication skills. Demonstrate computer proficiency: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP/CMMS are a plus. Demonstrate ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment. Demonstrate planning and organizational skills. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work off shifts and weekends on occasion. OUR VALUES

Base Salary Compensation Range:
$85,000 - $110,000
